Service contract

Regular service is essential to keep bicycles safe and reliable. Good maintenance extends the life span of bicycles, increases user comfort, improves corporate image and results in cost savings. Bicycles that are never or poorly serviced can cause dangerous situations.

Service includes the following:

  • Visual inspection of the frame for tears, checking of welding seams
  • Checking of tyres and tyre pressure: pressurising tyres, checking of the condition of the pneumatic tyre
  • Checking of wheels and spokes: testing of spoke tension and wheel alignment
  • Checking of lights: checking of dynamo or changing of batteries
  • Checking of chain: checking tension, cleaning and greasing
  • Adjusting brakes: checking of brake blocks and brake cables
  • Checking of handlebar and ball head, greasing if necessary
  • Checking of crank set and bottom bracket: checking of margin on the bottom brackets

Service of the bicycles is done by a trained bicycle technician on site in a mobile work shop. A service contract is drawn up with fixed hourly rates and unit prices for various spare parts.
