Safety certificate

VLVélo commits to working out a safety inspection together with the client, in order to meet the ever increasing requirements regarding safety, quality and health.

We can determine inspection points based on a risk analysis or the advice of the safety coordinator. Inspections are done at regular intervals according to an agreed schedule.

We issue a safety certificate for every bicycle that meets the requirements. This certificate mentions a unique bicycle and certificate number and the date of issue. 

During our inspection we focus on the following:

• Visual inspection of frame for tears 
• Checking of tyre pressure 
• Checking of wheels and spokes 
• Checking of lights 
• Checking of chain
• Checking of brakes 
• Checking of handlebar 
• Checking of bottom bracket 
• Checking of crank set and pedals
• Checking of ball head 
• Checking of nuts and screws 
• Checking of accessories such as bell and lock
• Cleaning and greasing of chain 
• Greasing of ball head
• Test drive
